The history

The Syriac Orthodox Community has been officially registered with the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights - Republic of Indonesia. This registration process marks a significant milestone that reflects our commitment and the legal standing of our community in operating and contributing to Indonesian society. With this legitimate registration, we can be more beneficial and actively engaged in various social, cultural, and religious activities in our homeland.

The registration process with the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights - Republic of Indonesia required us to meet rigorous criteria. We had to complete various relevant documents and information, as well as undergo thorough verification procedures. Through our team's dedication and collaboration, the Syriac Orthodox Community successfully navigated through this process.

With our registered status from the Directorate General of Legal Administrative Affairs, Ministry of Law and Human Rights - Republic of Indonesia, our community now has a strong legal foundation to carry out various programs and activities. We can more easily collaborate with both governmental and non-governmental institutions, and establish partnerships with various entities to fulfill our mission and vision. Moving forward, we are determined to continue growing and providing sustained positive contributions to Indonesian society and the nation.

People and culture

We are a group of humble individuals who, since our youth, have dedicated our lives to serving God. We come from various tribes in Indonesia and from different regions. We are servants of God united in love and dedication.

Together, we have built a community full of diversity. We learn from one another and grow in faith, drawing wisdom from the teachings of Christianity and the traditions of Syriac Orthodox. Our lives reflect the beauty of Indonesia's diversity, and we celebrate these differences as gifts bestowed by God.

We understand that this journey is not easy. We face trials and obstacles, sometimes feeling weary and disheartened. However, in every difficulty, we find strength in God, who assists us, and in the support of one another. We are a family united by a common faith: to devote ourselves for the glory of God and humanity.

We are grateful for this journey, and God's assistance continually blesses us. We pray that we may continue to be His instruments in spreading love, peace, and goodness in this beloved homeland of ours. May God assist us.
